Dell wins Network Computing's Network Infrastructure Award for its Dell S6000 Switch

Dell have scooped the prize for network infrastructure product of the year for their Dell S6000 switch at the 9th annual network computing awards held in London last week.

The Network Computing Awards, which took place on 19th March at the Hotel Russell London are particularly special as they are voted for by readers of the Network Computing Magazine. Former England cricket captain, Chris Cowdrey, and Comedian and after dinner speaker, Ian Irving announced the results and presented the trophies.

The awards were set up to recognise the hardware, software and services - and of course the companies behind them - which have most impressed the readers of the UK's longest established computer networking publication.

Dell's award winning S6000 switch is a high-density 10/40GbE switch, which is purpose built for virtualised data centres. The S6000 includes feature-rich Dell FTOS, VLT, and built-in network virtualisation features with support for Dell Open Network Framework.

Our congratulations go to Dell on winning this fantastic award.
