Last week at the CIPD Wales Awards at the National Museum Cardiff, Circle IT’s People Team (HR) won two awards! The team were proud and delighted to collect the GOLD award for Best HR in a SME and the SILVER award for Best In-House Team.
It was a successful evening with the very best in human resources and people development practice across Wales being showcased and celebrated. The winners are awarded by the professional body for people development, supported and endorsed by an impressive list of sponsors, and judged by a panel of top HR and business professionals.
Our GOLD award for Great HR in a SME (Sponsored by Welsh Government) recognises Circle IT as a business that has transformed the way we manage and develop our people in support of the workforce and wider business objectives. Also shortlisted in this award was Chwarae Teg, Coastal Housing and Kagool.
Our SILVER award for Best In-House Team (Sponsored by Human Resourcing) recognises our People Team, who have demonstrated excellence across the organisation to meet the needs of both the business and our people. We were up against All Wales Police Force, SSCL and ONS who won the GOLD in the category.

What winning these awards means to our people and the business?
This award is not just for the People Team, it is for the business as a whole. We put our people first and the People Team becoming a strategic partner is testament to this. The team have continued to add value and position themselves, proving Circle IT are forward thinking in every area, the work the People Team are doing is extremely mature for a small business and will continue to be built on with the 3-year People Strategy being released. We know that happy people equal happy customers and our focus is continually on driving this forward.
